Pilkington

Pilkington is a part of NSG Group, what is one of the worldwide biggest glassmakers. It focuses on glass and glassworks for building and car industry. This group of firms employs more than 34 000 employees all over the world. It has production plant in 24 countries and sells in 130 countries. It producec 6,4 millions tons of glass a year with annual sales 5,7 milliards USD.

Pilkington was established in the year 1826. It was private company until 1970, when its share became bankable on London stock exchange. Since 2006 were its share strucked from stock exchange again and Pilkington became hundrer-per-cent daughterly company insider of NSG. Today, more than 80% of market is realized except out of United Kingdom. Pilkington has primary objective market shares on building and automobile products of the world.

Pilkington, Together with its partners, has a widest geographical reach of all the molten glass producers enabling reaction to needs of customers, whose plants are more and more worldwide. Geographically, more than a half of sales are realized in Europe, approximately two fifths in Japan and North America. The rest in other parts of the world, especially in South America and Australia.

World's head office and main development plus technical department have bases in United Kingdom.
